Colleen Allorto, DO

I was born and raised in New Jersey and earned my medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 1999.

After relocating to Delaware, I have spent the past 26 years practicing general pediatrics, serving families throughout Kent and Sussex counties. Over the years, I have gained a wide range of clinical experience and have been fortunate to build lasting relationships within the communities I serve.

I strive to provide compassionate, family-centered care, treating every patient and family with respect. I place a strong emphasis on preventive care and a holistic approach to pediatric health. I also believe it is important to take the time to answer parents’ questions, so they feel informed and confident in managing their child’s well-being.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a pediatrician is supporting families through both challenges and milestones. I value the opportunity to be part of my patients’ lives and to advocate for their health and development.

Outside of medicine, I am a proud parent of two grown children. I enjoy gardening, spending time outdoors, and caring for my pets. I have also been a Girl Scout leader for 17 years, which reflects my ongoing commitment to mentorship and giving back to the community
